Power steering gear box
1995 5.8 I am trying to adjust the gear box. I understand how to. But the person who fiddled with it before tightened the adjustment screw so much that a small correctional jerked the truck across the road. No matter what direction I go the steering remains the same. Is there any saving this gear box or after you allow the gears to grind that severe the worm gear is smoked?

It's smoked. If the screw goes too far, there is no going back.
