I did a lot of reading about this, and found out that the rubber plugs on the top plate need to be replaced with part number 555-108 plugs. I could not find any around here, and this is a time sensitive repair that I got to fix by tomorrow. Should part number 555-011 work out okay, and should I reinforce them with some ultra black?

Napa and oriellys seem to keep an abundance of these in stock, check any parts store or hardware store. You need 6 5/8" metal plugs.
