Default Lowering a 76 F150 2WD

I have a 1976 150 XLT. would appreciate some advice as to the best way to lower my truck. 2 wd reg cab 8 foot box 460. I would like to do a 3 inch front 4 inch rear drop. I am not interested in cutting coil springs. I see drop beams and rear spring kits for sale. are these problem free. thanks in advance. Kevin

I had no personal with the drop beams, but I can tell you what I did. I do have pic of truck posted. On the front I heated the coil springs with MAP gas (burns hots without melting the metal) heat one coil turn per inch, then I had my beams (since its a twin beam) bent to realign the camber, it took three bends (so much at a time for metal memory). For the back I had the leaf spring saddles cut an placed under the axle (like a chevy) this should give you a 3 to 4 inch drop. You do sacrifice some comfort but it handles great. Get bags would help with a smoother ride.
