Front end
Hey folks,
I have a 1995 Ford F-150 XL 4x4, 351w, regular cab short bed. I bought this truck used a few months back from the original owner with about 204,000 miles. Right now I am looking to get into the front end and freshen everything up. I would like to pre purchase most of the parts that I should replace as preventive maintenance. The truck will mostly be a daily commuter and will see occasional off road use. When I first bought the truck I replaced the brake pads and inspected the brake system which seemed squared away. Also I don’t want to get into the suspension of the truck just yet. So what I would like from you all is recommendations on what should be replaced as I am not entirely familiar with some of the components on the front end. The truck does display some needs of attention as it vibrates when I hit the brakes in a corner, but not when the wheel is straight. One of the lug nut studs for the front passenger wheel will need to be replaced as it’s stripped. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you! |
Upper control arms.. tie rod ends..lower ball joint..stabilizer bar end links and bushing.

If I'm not mistaken the '95 has a TTB front end. It's going to be tricky replacing the UCA's:jester:

Take a look at this thread - it will probably answer most of your questions: https://www.f150forum.com/f89/4x4-fr...s-list-404780/ And if it doesn't, that's the forum to post this question in. But before you do, read the caption of this diagram, and put all your truck's details into your signature here so those who want to help can see what they need to give you accurate answers: https://www.supermotors.net/getfile/...oorsticker.jpg (phone app link) |
This is not a how to Forum.. where you come up with that ?
