Well they didn't make that much of a noticeable difference to me because I still had my 12 year old tires on when I changed them. When I changed the ball joints the death wobble stopped and I drove the truck all day when I got it back. The wobble came back towards the end of the day on my way to monster jam of course. Changing the tires and shocks are what actually solved the wobble for good. To answer your question though, they have held up well.

My buddy owns an alignment shop so we checked everything over right after the swap. My stock ***** are still in great shape but I did buy a new set just waiting to go on.

It is possible in a 97. Just harder and a sas swap is needed.
