Default Wire Harness Identification

1995 Ford f150 XL. manual transmission. 4.9l inline 6. 158,300 miles.

i am in the process of replacing my ecm (due to symptom of both fuel pumps staying on after key is turn to run position).

while i was under the hood, i noticed this beast of a wire harness connected to something in the firewall. (in the photo, the ecm is to the right of what i am describing).

anyone know what this is?

i've taken the plastic cover off, entered the part number (of the cover), and still could not find any detailed description of what the harness plugs into.

sorry for the redundancy, but i haven't had any responses from my original post in the general forum.

thanks!

Looks like the bulkhead connector to me
The other side has a bunch of wires too, right?
Get a EVTM for your 1995 truck and that will show the connector and wire pinout

yeah, coming into the cab, behind the clutch and brake pedals.

i'm assuming this serves as a junction for just about every wire requiring an electrical circuit in the truck?

again, nothing critical in my current circumstance, but i am on my way to the parts store to pick up the ecm.

we did discover a bad capacitor on the board. ironically, i have the bad ecm in the hands of someone who has experience repairing electronics.

but i can't wait around. i need the truck operational before noon today.

i know this wasn't the original content focus of my question, but i will post an update after install.

thanks for the reply.

*** UPDATE ********SUCCESS ~!~!~!

I JUST INSTALLED THE 'NEW' ECM (picked it up at autozone. they require a core), for a total of $212.92.

they were the ONLY one who had in stock for miles and miles and miles.

i haven't taken the truck out of the cul de sac yet (did run it down to the stop sign), but all indications is that the engine is running solid...fuel pump primes and shuts off on start up, which was the critical issue.

i am well pleased with the result. just have to put some screws back in to secure the driver's side wheel well.

if anyone has any questions, feel free to hmu. it was fairly straightforward, and many thanks to youtube video posts, and forums like this.
