Default Wipers will not shut off except with ign

I have a 1994 Ford E150 conversation van, the wipers work but will not shut off from switch( I tried a new switch), I replace the motor, just because I left the plastic off and water got in motor. Wipers will turn off with key., You can control the speed and washers but can not shut off. Any Ideas ? Please

Do you have anything tapped into the wiper wiring? Sounds like even with the switch off (power should be cut off) they are still getting power from something. Check for splices in the wiring and follow it as far as you can to insure that it isn't damaged and pulling current from another source.

It sounds like you have lost a ground to the motor. make sure the ground is connected at the motor or put a jumper ground to motor and try again. Just a thought !
