Default Truck Canopy / Wiring

I just installed a canopy on my truck and it has two lights inside. I want to power them up and install and on/off switch just inside the right rear corner of the canopy. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to wire this set up. I'm guessing a simple wire from the battery to the cab or should I tap into the harness somewhere?

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Just ground one wire to the bed of the truck then run the other wire to a switch then to either the battery or the stud on the fuse box under the hood.
