Trouble starting

Greg, I threw you a fast ball, and you didn't swing at it. Now you complaining about being thrown a curve. Would you rather pay a hundred bucks to have a competent mechanic pinch hit for you?
With a multimeter check the voltage to the starter relay mounted near the battery. Also check voltage to the ignition switch (with the key turned on). This you'll find under the plastic shroud covering the steering column behind the steering wheel.

To me it sounds like more of an issue with the starter switch itself at the base of the column or the linkage running down the column from the key switch.

For the past week, as I've been going through things, the problem has totally stopped. Knock on wood, and I'm going with the old, if it ain't broke dont fix it mentality here.

After several decades of personally owning Fords and rescuing other FOMOCO product owners stranded or bewildered by the quirky relationship with their rides, the majority of us believe there is a zen-like mantra instilled into every car & truck due to the TLC provided by Henry's assembly line employees.
Many of us have also discovered the application of a little TLC from time to time can work miracles for all of those Fords, Lincolns, and Mercs "feeling" a bit attention-starved, or just wanting their devoted mechanic to show them a little love.
