The temperature gauge on my '95 only seems to work sometimes, and when it does work, sometimes it barely comes up off the peg, and OCCASIONALLY it'll come about 1/4 of the way up the gauge. I hear people saying that these 300 sixes are notoriously cold blooded, but they aren't THAT cold running are they? I wouldn't think they would be but I could be wrong.

EDIT: I should also mention that it only comes about 1/4 of the way up the gauge on longer drives or when I'm sitting still for a while with the engine running, so it does somewhat seem to work. Could it be the gauge or the sensor? Or is it normal? Sorry for me being a newbie, never really worked on many Fords before I got mine, so I don't know exactly what to look for when solving a problem lol.
