Spout connector
95 5.0 can a spout connector go bad. Timing chain is tight. Computer replaced no codes shown idles rough with spout connector in but runs like brand new truck with out. Driving three weeks with it out power down and mpg. Can spout be bad

I think all the spout connector does is connects the timing control to the computer(like a bridge either there or not). Do you get the pass code from the computer, I think either 11 or 111?

That’s just it. The shop has exhausted their efforts. After checking chain and computer found no codes told me just don’t know what’s causing rough idle. Without codes it’s guessing game. Done wires plugs coil soaked injections new fuel module. Found thread recent on t f I module and distributor

Codes are not diagnosis even on modern vehicles, and these early EFIs don't set codes for subtle driveability problems like this. Click the link in my previous post, and read the caption. If you can't follow it, find a mechanic who can.

Spout won't be bad but sounds like your computer or distributor might be. Remove the spout and check timing, should be 8 to 10 btdc. Shut off and install spout, timing should be around 20 btdc and fairly consistent. See what your results are and go from there.
