Default Screwed up radio

Alright so this morning I'm sitting in my truck listening to music, the truck is running. And I have a head unit that has the iPod and USB in it. Like I said I was sitting there with it running listening to music then I got out to go do something and turned the truck off with the iPod still hooked up. I went got back in cranked it up no music. I looked and it wasn't paused it was hooked up correctly and all. And the weird thing is it showed that the iPod was hooked up charging but wouldn't play. Everything else works fine radio controls everything. I checked all the fuses and connections and all and can't get it to play with the iPod. I still have a feeling it could be a connection so I'm going to take it apart this weekend and check all my connections but before I do, any idea as to what it could be?

Might be helpful if you add what make and model head unit. might find better luck with the company who made the unit.

Hit the reset button before ripping the entire thing out. Should be a pin hole on the face or behind the faceplate. Owner's manual should say where you can find the hole.

Good luck!

Does the iPod work fine on its own? Have you tried a different cable? Does the iPod function hooked to anything else (computer, other radio, etc.)?

Yeah it works fine by itself I have two cables and they both work. The radio and the iPod both show that its connected and charging it just wont play. I'm starting to think I need a new headunit.

Maybe. I don't have iPod or USB hookups on my radio, just auxiliary, so I can't really help.
