Default Right turn signals not working

Hi Guys!
1989 F150 Custom 4.9L C6 Auto
My left blinkers flash and click fine.
My right blinkers don’t flash or click.. occasionally. I am thinking the flasher is going bad? Anyone have any thoughts? It’s intermittent and when they come on they blink and click fine. Other times I get nothing at all.

Fiddling with it just now- seems if I push the lever in and turn right signals on it works: maybe a bad connection on the lever? I’ll pull Column cowl and all that fun stuff to take a look asap.

On another note; right side speaker plays fuzz. I changed out the two speakers to verify speaker works- it does- all wires traced back to head unit and they look fine. Could it be the head unit? The unit is OEM ford cassette radio which DOES have an amp draw ( I leave the fuse out when I’m not listening ).

usually the lever...$40 part and 15 minutes to swap it out..Ford part about twice that, but it will last another couple of decades.

they can be cleaned and might work another 10 years or so...they usually start to grow crap internally so a clean rag and some alcohol (rubbing).
