no tail lights or clearance lights
86 f150 checked fuses, wiring, etc.
still no lights. Fuse holder does have a broken corner on it, its not where the fuse goes. Any ideas, would like to drive it at night. Thanks.
also we did trace the wiring and checked the bulbs.

Exactly which wiring did you check, and where? Did you look at the terminals on the headlight switch & its connector? They're known to burn off, like this:
