I also wonder if I could have just put the Neutral safety switch in a little goofy. I've heard from a friend that works at a tranny shop that they are kind of sensitive.

That shouldn't stop the speedo/odo from turning on though

Trying to get a pic to load. There are a few wires I want you to mess with on the plug side of the ignition switch. Gray/yellow stripe, purple with white stripe, and red green stripe. Take the switch if its easier and use a jumper wire if you have to, any yellow wire is battery power. Put power to each of those and move the wire around slowly and push it in some if you have to. I think the gr/y one puts power to the dash but it goes to like three pins or something like that on the switch. The PR/w one is the bulb test. Not sure what rd/g goes to. I'm thinking the gr/y one because it has so many pins. If you can get that one out of the plug (not sure if it just feeds different pins or if each pin has its own, like I said I don't have that switch anymore since I wired my own switches in awhile ago) and put power directly to it, it -might- help narrow this down.

Or put the truck in run and back probe those pins/wires to make sure you're getting power to them all

Power in each wire? If power is getting through it might just be a bad pod. Wish I had the schematic for the cluster wiring. Can't find my Haynes book anywhere. You could get the cluster to a point to reach the plugs behind it. Its not terribly difficult, just take your time and keep track of bolts/screws. Do you have torx bits?

Well power in the wires that should have it in the on and start position (I followed your diagram). I had the instrument cluster off when I first got the truck to replace some of the warning light bulbs, so hopefully it wont be that difficult to get back out. Do you think my PSOM may be to blame? I'm wondering if I should just go get a couple from the junk yard and try plugging them in.... I should also mention that I did replace the motor in this truck about a year ago and maybe I just plugged some stuff in goofy somewhere.

Has it been acting up that long? If not I doubt that's the issue. If everything leading up to the pod is working fine then yeah it could just be the PSOM. Also, make sure you get a cluster from a 94 or 95, since you have 94 those are the only years that will work for you apparently. If you have to get one from a f250 from those years just make sure its a gas engine and not diesel. I don't know if that part makes a difference but a cluster from the closest matching truck is best.
