No electrical power, fusible links good?
Hey all,
working on a 1987 f150 xlt lariat. With 302 and auto trans. My concern is that I put the engine back in this truck and everything went alright. Wasn't too bad for the first time, except it wouldn't start. Figured out I missed a ground cable so I attached that and it was cranking and started to idle, then went dead. No electrical power at all, to lights, gauges, anything. Swapped the battery with a brand new one and cleaned my terminals and still having the same problem 12.6 volts at starter solenoid (battery side), 12.6v after each of the fusible links coming off of the starter solenoid, car cranks when I jump the two large terminals on the solenoid. I'm lost, where could I look next?
