I just got a 93 f150. The headlights work until I turn the high beams on. Then the headlights shut off completely, just the running lights work. I have to push the headlights **** in and pull it out and then the dims will work again. What might be the issue?

 

Switch, especially if its the bottom switch on the foot, most likely bad wire.

Check fuses.

Clean the debris out of the dimmer switch
Replace it if it doesn't start working after blowing it all out with compressed air
