fuel pump failure
Hello guys, how are you ?
i have a problem with my ford f150 1994 xl l6.two months ago i broke my fuel pump and i bought a new one that i put last week.
i drove my truck a few days and stop workng again, today i was reading the owner guide of the truck and i thought it could be a problem of the fuses and the relay, i really dont know if im correct. maybe you know a little bit more than me and you can give me some advice.

How exactly did you do that?What brand and part number?You did the work yourself? Or you had repair shop install it?

The fuel pump stop working on a trip i remember that the truck turn off inmediatly and started like i didnt have gasoline.then i bought a new one that the name of the brand is "Performance Electric Fuel Pumps" in rockauto i tried to buy the ford motorcraft but they dont have it.
Sorry but i dont know the number of the fuel pump, now im going to search it.Talking about it the fuel pump had been changed in a mechanical work shop.Thanks for all Steve.

I don't trust parts with brand names that are constructed to imply the quality of the parts. Most are cheap chinese imports. If I can't find Ford/MotorCraft, I look for older name-brands with good reputations in the specific parts I want. For fuel pumps, I trust Bosch (the manufacturer of Ford/MC fuel pumps), and maybe Carter, Delphi, or ACDelco. Spectra & Airtex are the WORST brands of fuel pump.
