Fuel pump buzzing, won't start.
My 1987 f150 has been having two issues. It would crank for a while but eventually start, so I didnt really worry about it. Another issue is it refused to idle in park. I had to keep my foot on the gas for it to run. It drives fine in gear so I put off fixing it until today, but this morning I turned the key and the fuel pump wouldn't stop buzzing. The truck cramped but wouldn't start. I took the key out, waited a sec, pumped the gas and cranked again and still nothing. Any ideas as to what could be the issue? I've already informed my place of work I'll probably be 20 minutes late every day since I'm riding with my father. By the way, it's an 87 xlt lariat with a 5.0 and an automatic transmission. Engine and transmission are relatively new.
