Default Front Turn Signals not working

1992 F-150. My front turn signals do not work. The front emergency flashers do not work. Everything works fine in the rear of the truck.
The bulbs look good. What else could be wrong? Should I just change the bulbs to make sure?
The parking lights in the front work fine, but I know they are dual element bulbs. Hard to believe both sides would go out at the same time.

Virtually any MFS that looks vaguely like yours will work in your truck - all the different PNs are for slight variations in the shape of the stalk, its color (black, chrome, etc.), and the EXTRA features that may be on it (like cornering lights, rear wiper, etc.). But most of those with extra features will still plug in to your truck & work. So look for the cheapest high-quality (MotorCraft, Standard, Echlin, etc.) replacement with the same connector shapes as yours.

It was the bulbs, both burned out at the same time. Thanks for that link Steve, I will save it for the future.
