Default front/rear fuel tank switch not working

Replaced my rear tank and innards $$$. Filled up the rear tank and been running my front tank to check fuel mileage. The rear tank showed full.
The other day, decided to switch to rear, and the gauge didn't move! Crap. I know I have a full rear tank. Checked all the fuses, and had blown one. That one was in slot 7(turn lamps) Changed it out, still no luck. the fuse in block 6 is for the switch. That fuse was OK, even tho I put a new 15 amp one in. Any suggestions out there? Like I said, it worked when I did the rear tank replacement. I really hate to take the front console apart. PS It's a 95 Eddie Bauer F150
