door electronics not working?
i have a 1992 f-150 xlt, the passenger door works well, power windows and power locks, even sets off the dome light and door courtesy light when opened as well as the chime for the open door, however, my drivers side door seems to be barely connected to anything, the window wont roll down, the door wont lock, however the switch to lock the passenger door and roll the window down (pass.) work just fine, but the door doesnt set off the dome or courtesy light. id appreciate any help, as well as any questions to narrow down said issue. thanks y'all.
The courtesy lamp switch is mounted to the body - it's not in the door. On a '92 driver's door, it could be near the lower hinge, or at the lower rear corner. Click this & read the caption:

The lock circuit is complicated; it could be a fault in the wiring between the doors, or in EITHER switch.

The driver's window is the simplest circuit (because it has only 1 switch), but you still have to do some diagnosis to find that fault.
