Digital odo question
I didn't want to resurrect an old thread... So started a new one. I've swapped clusters several times, but first time digital an first F150.
Truck with warrantee on new engine and trans.
Speedo needle is jerky and temp and OP doesn't work. I despise aftermarket "hanging" guages which this truck has, so my stock-oriented sensibilities go to swapping the cluster.
I read here on an old post that the donor odo will read the old mileage. Drive train is warranted by mileage as well as calendar, how complex is dismantling the cluster to get old odo unit out and in the donor cluster? Is there a write-up somewhere?
Thanks

Yeah look for a post I put up on "changing the PSOM". The speedometer and odometer are one unit though, so maybe check the vss and other related parts to try and fix the jumpy speedo first.
And clusters are year sensitive (92,93) (94,95) (96). There's some question about 95 1/2, 96
