Cruise Contol Doesn't Work - Troubleshooting Woes
well I thought the cruise control would be a little easier to diagnose and fix than what I had with the airbag but again I have seem to hit a wall
I have the Ford manuals and have followed the steps, all checks ok until I think step 12, measuring resistance between terminals 5 and 6 and expecting a reading above 3k ohms, I get zero resistance which states that one of the command switches is stuck, well I got a used set and swapped them and still no reading. I guess I could have got a set with the same issue as mine but now think maybe I am just not doing something exactly as I should. My truck did get the recall done with the harness at the brake switch and it all checks good, I have verified all the brake fuses and light are good, I have a new clockspring and the airbag circuit is good. Does anybody know of some known issue I haven't mentioned? anybody else have a similar issue?
The cruise is the last non-working piece on the truck, a/c fixed last weekend just in time for a few 90 degree days.

I never solved my problem, yet been working on other cars, will probably get back to it in another month or so, got a few other things to do to it once I get back at it
