Alternator is not charging battery

Almost certain the green (I) wire is not energizing the VR.
After testing the green wire voltage with the key on it shows no voltage. When I energize the green wire via the + battery terminal when plugged into the alternator I get a solid 14.3 V. Finally getting somewhere. I have tested it before and after the plug so it’s bad somewhere in the main harness.
I have thoroughly investigated the green wire up to where it goes into the harness and it’s fine. It seems that green wire runs all the way into the EEC correct? Not excited to tear into that main electrical harness.
Would be easier to run a switch inside the cab to bypass the green wire?

Yes plugged in and tested before and after the C 139 terminal by powering from the + battery terminal and it worked in both spots

Had to ask - usually its the stupid things that bite me in the backside. I guess the next step would be to pull the cluster and find the LG/R wire that originates from there and see if it is getting power. If it does, you know the damage is somewhere in the harness and you can just run a jumper wire.
Just remember when you are doing all this work to repeatedly mutter "I love my truck, I love my truck, I love my truck" under your breath and eventually it all works out

BLD truth, the “cluster” you speak of is the charge indicator or the instrument cluster? Where is the charge indicator located? Seems like that would be the next place to look for wire damage.

After re visiting your wiring diagrams I see the LG/R wire goes into the charge indicator and then the instrument cluster. Even though Steve’s wiring diagram and yours are a bit different...
