Default 94 F150 with Auto 4x4 Electrical Problem

My 4x4 works perfect in high and low range. My only issue is with the amber light next to the high button. From time to time the light will be dimly lit even when the 4 wheel drive is not on. If I turn the 4 wheel drive on the light gets turns on (brighter) and when I turn it off the light goes back to being dimly on.

Any ideas? I'm thinking there might be a relay somewhere that is not closing the circuit causing the light to be on somewhat??? This happens every so often and doesn't have anything to do with turning on the 4 wheel drive or not. It does seem like it does it more when it is colder outside.

Thanks

Check the ground wire on the switch... I'll bet its corroded or loose

Thanks I will check that out asap. I hate taking off the instrument bezel. Mine has 2 broken tabs at the top of it and they break off every time I take it off and then I have to epoxy them back on.
