90 f150 hums - won't start . If hum stops - starts ok
I have a 90 f150 and replaced the front fuel tank due to fuel leak due to corrosion. The rear tank does not work and will kill engine if I switch to it.
This has happened prior to replacing the tank. What happens is that when I turn the switch to on and the fuel pump hums for a few seconds and stops the trucks starts great. But if the hum does not stop the engine just grinds enough to start, but will not start. This is a guess when you get in it as to whether it will start this time or not. Is there some sort of relay that is going bad ? Can anyone help me with this off and on situation?
