Default '89 Starter Solenoid

So, I have been having problems with my starter not shutting off, and i was reading some forums and people were saying that I need to get a motorcraft solenoid, the only place i could find was this link : http://bit.ly/1EguGmC
I have a 1989 with a 5.0 engine and it says it works with the 5.8 engine and i was wondering if it would still wotk in my 5.0?

rockauto.com has them, get the correct part number from there and you can google it to maybe find a lower price (amazon, etc..).

Tail of a 5.0 is the same as 5.8 so motor won't be an issue. It's the flex plate (or flywheel)that the starter engages with, which is determined by the transmission. Same trans, you should be good to go. If in doubt count the teeth.
A manual starter will not work for an automatic or vice versa.
