1995 F150 Supercab Cluster question
Hello all, I just joined the forums, as I just bought a 1995 Ford F 150 but she has a few issues before I can get her on the road. The gauge instrument cluster is only half working. The Tach, Oil, and Battery work. The Speedometer, Water Temp, and Fuel doesn't work. Dual fuel tanks does not work for either of them! I'm at a loss to what the issue is causing only half to work. Guy who owned it before me swapped a different cluster in and same thing happened. Have both clusters and both seem fine. Also has ABS light and the OD on the shift column is flashing but works fine. Any Ideas?

If both clusters had the same problem then I doubt it is the cluster itself and more likely a wiring issue within the dash or the connectors to the cluster. You also need to be sure that the clusters are both from 94 or 95 trucks - any other years will cause a load of problems.

No, the instrument cluster wiring doesn't go through the column; only the turn signal indicators.
The caption of this diagram explains how the cluster works:

The NEXT shows how to disassemble it. Others in that album show how to modify it. This one explains how the speedometer (PSOM) works, which is nearly independent of the rest of the cluster:

I'd start by polishing the cluster terminals with brown paper, a pink eraser, or 0000 steel wool.
