1989 f150

Hey guys i hope you all can help because i was putting new plastic moldings where it covers that wire on the drives side and i was stupid and put the screw right in the middle of the wire it sparked killed my radio and my dome light that's it everything else fine . i split the wire in two and my radio when to static and just a green face and my dome light worked before the screw went through it. im stumped.
Things i have tried putting a new bulb in nothing.
check fuses only one was fried replaced it nothing.
unless that wire is a ground wire

plz help

Re splice a new wire were it split or just electrical tape it! It may be grounding out or shorted on that spot!
