How did you try to pull codes? You need a voltmeter or OBDI scanner as '87 doesn't have a "check engine" light, not to be confused with the "engine" light which is completely different.

Just to keep everyone in the loop i ended up taking my truck to a mechanic and he said the engine was blown. WTF!!! He said its not turning the distributor so that is why theres no spark. How can an engine just blow like that?? Espeacilly the old I-6?? Thanks for everyones help. Im debating getting a second opinion. You guys think its worth it?

Inspect the distributor and the timing gears. If the distributor gear pin sheared off the distributor may not turn, if the crankshaft isn't turning the camshaft via the timing gears the distributor won't turn.

This may sound stupid, but take a wiff of your ECM. If you detect a burnt smell, it's probably bad.
