Default Newer seats in a 93?

I'm curious if seats out of a newer f150 or 250 would fit in the cab of a 93 XL extended cab? It has a bench seat in it, and I'd like to put something a little more comfy in it. There's a few 2007 and under f150's and f250's out at the junk yard, and I could probably pick up a set of seats for nothing. Also, does anyone know if I could also put a newer centre console in between the seats?

You'll want the bucket seat brackets from the older style truck - mount the new seats to those, however you have to.
You need the brackets from an extended cab or Bronco - regular cab ones are different because of the back seat / no back seat thing.

I love the seats in the newer f150s! If I could find a set those would definitely be going in

Was there not enough room for you to fit the centre console out of the newer f150?

Yes there is tons of room for a 2013 center console. However the truck I found at the salvage yard had a middle seat instead of a center console. And I was worried it would hit the shifter. Plus I really didn't like the way it looked.

I have a related question. I have a 93 F150 extended cab with bucket seats and a center console. I bought some leather/heated/power bucket seats and a seat/console from a 2014 F150. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to figure out installing them but I'm not sure about getting the heat to work. My plan is to find a wiring diagram for the new seats and to use some kind of rotary switch to turn the heat off and on and adjust the amount of heat. I'm assuming the heat is adjustable but I'm not familiar with newer F150s and the controls for the heat are not on the seat itself. I'm guessing they are located on the dash or steering wheel. My question basically is if this seems like a feasible solution? I'd be mounting the rotary switch next to the other controls on the seat.

The very first thing you need to find/buy is this bench seat to bucket seat pan assembly:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/F150-92-96-Bench-to-Bucket-Seat-frame-Platform-Bracket-/172451603228?hash=item2826eaa31c
This seat pan assembly allows you to mount bucket seats and a center console, or 40/20/40 seats to this pan assembly. This own assembly mounts to the four existing holes in your truck floor where the bench seat originally mounted.

Mount the newer seats including the seat rails to this pan assembly then mount the pan assembly to the floor. Your newer seats will be able to slide on their seat rails independently of one another. Mounting this pan assembly to your floor means no drilling additional holes or red neck engineering your own bracket that you pray withstands an accident.

This pan assembly was developed by Ford for the 1992-1996 Ford Crew cab trucks which allowed you to order any if the 3 seats configurations available for the 9th Gen Aero nose F-150s. This is the ONLY way to do your mod correctly AND safely.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me. It took me years of research to find out the pan assembly was the answer to getting rid of my bench seat and replacing it with a set of 40/20/40 seats. Ford engineers were geniuses for coming up with the pan assembly. They are rare parts but can be found in any 92-96 crew cab truck.

I'm a Ford fan, but honestly, if you're looking for a comfy seat, look at the 2009 and up Dodge Ram or RAM seats. They are by far the comfiest seats I've ever sat in for a truck. Second up to that would be the early 2000's cloth Chevrolet seats.

so, for simplicity, an intact '92-'96 crew cab will be the donor to allow other seats to mount properly? that's not including '97-up seats, is it?
