Did you get around to putting in the interior handles? Let me know how it worked out for you. I'm really interested in doing this since my daughter is always telling me "Dad, you need to get a handle in here!"

Nope but its on the short list. I have a bunch of trim/door screws with mounting holes that are stripped out so I am going to remove all the trim and drill out all of the screw holes and replace them with rivet nuts. I figure when I do that I will sort out the handles.

Now I guess I will need to figure out how to mount them. I always like an excuse to buy new tools.

Finally got these done today - All I ended up doing was mark where I wanted them drilled thru the headliner using a pick awl, then pushed the starter hole all the way thru the headliner to the steel. Then I drilled a small hole directly thru the headliner and into the steel. Couple of decent heavy duty sheet metal screws to hold it in and its done. Probably took me a total of an hour and that was after spending 20 minutes figuring out I didn't need to remove any of the trim or the headliner to do it. I could do a pull-up off of it if I wanted to its so strong. No worries about cracking the trim or putting spacers in to support weight.
