Torx Driver Size On Bracket Mounted Door Mirrors

Can anyone tell me the T# for the Torx bolts that when tightened hold the mirrors firmly on my 1990 F150 extended cab? The driver set that I have doesn't include one large enough. I'd like to know if it's a T20, T40 or whatever before I try to get one that will.

Thanks
rh

Are you saying you have a Torx driver set that only has T10 & T15? It's either T25 or T30, which are included in most common Torx sets. If you're buying new ones anyway, I recommend getting Tamper Torx drivers &/or bits, since they're more-versatile. For that truck, you could also use a T50 for the seat belts & door strikes. If it's a V8, the bolt under the center of the intake plenum is T40. If it's a manual-shift 4WD, the shifter bolts might be T60, but they also have hexes (I forget what size), so you don't really need that size (it's rare & expensive).

Thanks, Steve! I think I'll take your advice and get at set Torx drivers.

I found this set on Amazon. I was surprised that these sets all seem to be 1/4" drive instead of 3/8". I did see a set of long shafted drivers in 3/8" but they might not fit in some spaces. The ones I saw were considerably more expensive, but I think thise will meet my needs just fine.

I'm not a fan of Neiko, but those don't look too bad. I can see the top row is 1/4" drive; the bottom is 3/8"; and the T60 on the Right might be 1/2".

I noticed these in Tractor Supply today:

I have a few sets on the Right, but I hardly use them other than the TamperTorx & Phillips.

Turns out the bolt was a T30.
