Rear window fixed to Slide Open Swap?

Default Rear window fixed to Slide Open Swap?

Can this be done? I’d like the sliding rear window. Have seen some in junkyards that don’t cost much but never an 89.
Would any models fit or just 87-91?

I seem to recall a friend of mine doing it back in the late 90s. He had an 88 with a fixed window and swapped a slider that he got from the junk yard into it.

I think they are all the same from 80-96. The important thing to know is that the gaskets are different for sliders compared to the solids, and I think there are several types with trim and without trim, so you need to make sure you get the appropriate gasket with the window.

'80-96 & '97 >8500GVWR use the same rear window. Get everything out to the sheet metal, and it'll go right in. This & the NEXT several photos show Bronco side windows, but it's the same process:
