How to remove that piece above the front bumper, below the grill
Hi Guys,
Is it relatively easy to remove that piece below the grill but above the front bumper, mines rusted out bad and want to give it a good sanding and maybe plasti-dip it. I usually rely on youtube to help me out with this stuff but havent had much luck since i dont even know the name!
Thanks,
Jon

Ford calls it the stone shield.

Remove the front bumper (4 21mm nuts) after reading this caption & the links in it:

Use a trim tool to pry out the pushpins holding the plastic filler to the stone shield on each side. Some of the pushpins will break, but they're not all necessary to replace. Pull the grill (5 phillips screws; don't lose the 2 rubber grommets 8C167) to access the center bolt (8mm = 5/16") holding the shield to the plastic header. Shoot penetrating oil on the tips of the 2 bolts (#19 in the RHS panel of this diagram) on each side holding the wheelwell to the core support (pointed straight up).

Remove the front 3 screws (#13 RHS) on each side (5.5mm = 7/32") holding the wheelwell to the fender, then those 2 8mm bolts (they'll be VERY rusty, and their U-nuts may break & spin). Then bend the wheelwell back to access the 2 8mm bolts at each outer end of the stone shield.
This shows those grill grommets:
