It's cold here and I wondered the same thing, my friend had an old box of cling-style window tint so I threw it on really quick just to see. It's 5%, has bubbles, and isn't cut perfectly but I did it just to see the difference. I liked it so much I left it, mistakes and all, come spring I want to replace my sliding window with a solid one and will have it tinted to 5-20% before installing it-that's the plan anyway.

well it's not letting my insert any pics (linked location or from my computer) so here is a link to a thread that has pics of the back of my truck.

I wish I could do the whole cab, here in Iowa it's back windows only, front door and windshields must be free of any tint. You can get a prescription type document from a doctor if you are ultra sensitive to lights at night (which I am) but you would still get pulled over a lot and have to show the card to the cops. Just don't want any reason to ever get pulled over so I just never had the eye dr do it for me.

What I have is technically illegal but so is not running a front plate and I have only been pulled over once for no plate in two years and received a warning and while I was looking for my insurance card the cop was trying to look through my back windows and I know you can't see through them but he didn't say anything about it lol!!

Haha that's awesome. I don't want nothing too illegal or dark just because I don't want to have the hassle of cops stopping me. But 20 sounds like a darn good number to me, and nice pics yall! And should I just get that Tint from Walmart? It's pretty cheap so I don't know if the price matches quality. Anyone tried it yet?

Don't get the tint from wal-mart. It's cheap and turns purple after a couple years. Get on ebay, there are a bunch of places on there that sell pre-cut stuff and it is the same film style tint you would get if you had it professionally done. Plus its pre cut. which makes life way easier.

I bought a kit for my super cab for $25. They guarentee it and let you chosse multiple darknesses. I have 15% on my back windows and 20% on my fronts. If you screw a panel up they will send a new one for like $3. Do yourself a favor and buy a good squeegee too. Also make sure you take your time. It took me about an hour and a half to do all 7 windows.
