Okay, so after reading this thread I started looking into these lights and the RJM harness a little more.
The RJM harness afaik is just a shorter route of wiring, the less wire you can run the more power available for the end use. All the bulbs i've ever seen were rated for 12.8 volts, but you'd never see that at the socket, so by running a short length of wire you can see increases in bulb intensity by eliminating the v drop. If you want to switch over to full LED lights there may be more wiring required.
As for the chinese replacements, well I ordered up this set and I can confidently say they are not high quality. Be prepared to do a bit of filing to get everything to fit properly.
On mine, the front left headlight tabs that position/clock the headlight socket/bulb weren't formed cleanly and required a bit of massaging and a bit of force to get lined in. Also the right rear lens had a big lip I had to file down and was a little out to lunch on the screw holes, I made it fit, bit its not clean, and it has cracked a bit.
As for resale value, unless your truck is super low miles with no rust and perfect paint, its probably not worth anything anyways. Probably more of a local market thing, but the only trucks I've seen around me worth any real money are diesels. If it bothers you, keep the original light housings somewhere safe if you think it will affect value in your area.
And lastly, the process for replacing the lense on the front is a bit of a chore, but can be done with normal hand tools. Comparing the haynes manual to a youtube vid I found, youtube is less work. You have to pull the coolant/washer tank and the battery tray to access the bolts for the park lights, this will let you remove the bumper/corner lenses and the bezel. Then you can remove the grill and header panel for easy access to the headlight clips.

Yeah, those eBay lights aren't just goofy, ugly, & cheap; they're not even DOT-certified. But there are chinese headlights that ARE legal, modernized, effective, & good-looking. Try searching "1992 Bronco projector halo" if this link doesn't work:

With the right tools & some patience, the clips can be released without removing anything else. I've done it many times in the shop & in the JY. Click this & read the caption:

BTW
RJM (Ryan) sold his business many years ago when his health got bad. He hasn't made any wiring harnesses or other products for nearly a decade. But a headlight relay system is relatively simple to build yourself, and nearly any headlight relay system you find can be installed in these trucks.

Lol, goofy, ugly, and cheap is pretty well every interior in every vehicle manufactured until like 1993 (wood or chrome veneered plastic panelling?), but that's really more of a subjective thing.
As for DOT, these are no more or less legal (they are stamped, for whatever thats worth lol) than those halos. Things may be different in different areas, but where I am the major thing is amber reflectors on both front corners, red on the rear, with clear reflectors facing stright rear. There's a little more to it than that but correct bulb choices will make up the difference.

Well, I didn't see DOT in the description, so I didn't think they'd have the stamp. And the fact that the lenses are smoked, and the wrong colors, I'd be surprised if they actually got DOT certification for the assembled lights - maybe just the molds for the parts.
Anyway, it's unlikely that you'd ever get pulled over or cited for them. I just like knowing that the halos are actually legal.
