'96 side manual mirrors with bolts under bracket

Hi everyone, I have a '96 F-150 XL I have been restoring for about 6 months. One of the last things I need are new side mirrors and brackets. It currently has chrome (or what use to be chrome) manual mirrors. There are plenty of aftermarket replacements except all the replacements I have found have a different bolt setup than mine. Most descriptions for these mirrors say something like this:

"** Note: 2 Different types of Ford mirrors were used on these trucks. To ensure these parts will fit your application please check the upper brackets and be sure the bolt holes are above the mirror brackets."

On my truck the bolt holes on the top of the bracket are below the bracket. Any one know where I can find the proper mirrors?

Thanks

No, my truck has a different style mirror like the one below. But the mirror below has the top bolt holes above the bracket, on mine the top bolt holes are about an inch lower just below the bracket.

No I have a different style, on the picture below in red I drew what my mirror looks like. The top bolt holes are just under the bracket rather than on top.

OK, yours are an 87 to 91 style mirror. 92 to 96 came with the style in the pic I posted. I know lots of people have the style you show on 9th generation trucks but that's not what they came out of the factory with.
Maybe you can find them under the listings for the different year (87-91)

I just looked up all different years and even the 88-91 have the bolts above the bracket. I was only able to find 2 used mirrors that had the same bracket as mine. Mine looks like this one

Maybe there's a way to turn the brackets over ?

This is exactly what mine look like, almost all of the 92-96 around here have this style mirror save a couple that have what chris pictured, I can't believe that this many people swapped the mirrors out themselves. I just can't see that big of a percentage of the people all getting the same idea like that. I know what I'm finding online but I just don't believe it.

For that kind of price though you're better off pulling them off and taking them in to be re-chromed. If you don't know of any place locally that does it just ask almost any Harley owner and they should know.

"If you can't make it go fast put some more chrome on it"

I bought new mirrors (without the bracket) and will probably just have the old brackets chromed like you said because there is no way to make my truck fast
