Default 95 F150 aftermarket rims

I was wondering if anyone has put on 17 or 18 inch rims on their F150? I have a 95 and would like to get a set of 5 spoke 18 inch wheels, but I'm not sure how it will look. I don't want to order it without seeing how they look first. Has anyone gone aftermarket 17's or 18's?

The bolt pattern for f150s has changed a couple of times since 95 - newer wheels won't bolt on without spacers.

Ok. Maybe I will just find some old Ford Lightning rims and pop them on.

Has anyone ever used chrome spray paint on rims? The truck is already covered in chrome bits so I kind of want to keep that theme.

I run 20's on mine, with the used of wheel adapters. Haven't had any issues using them and they open up a lot of options for aftermarket wheel. As for looks, I don't think you would be disappointed going to a 17" or 18" wheel.

Wow nice truck!

When you say wheel adapters, what ones did you get? Are there specifics I need to know before buying some?

Thank you! I found my adapters on ebay, but there are many sources online for them and many will ask for vehicle specs to take some of the guesswork out of choosing the right sizes.
The main specifics to know are the bolt pattern you currently have, what bolt pattern you want to run and how thick an adapter you want/need. You'll also want to make sure the inner diameter of the adapter is sized correctly to match your hub/bore diameter and that the adapter will clear your factory lug studs. You want the adapter to be absolutely flush to your hub surface or bad things will happen. I would also suggest making sure the lug nut threads of the adapter match the factory thread size so you can use your existing lug nuts.

So, for example, my adapters are...
5x5.5" to 5x4.75" bolt pattern
1" thick
87mm ID
1/2" - 20 UNF lug studs

Hope that helps.

Perfect! Thank you so much! I'll find a set of wheels and then figure out from there what size adapter I need. Huge help, again I really appreciate it!

Once I get my truck running these are the 18" wheels I want to get...and no spacers required.

I would love to have those wheels too, but I can't find them in chrome for that size.
