Got a 90 5.0 2wd short bed AOD (pretty sure...has PROD1 no button for overdrive) and both the ears broke off the tailshaft/ extension housing where it mounts to cross member. I know its the 10 ¼ / 10 ½ whatever they are. But been lookin for one and thought i had narrowed down then i started seeing small seal or big seal or something like that. So what's the best way to identify what i need exactly. What all vehicles would apply etc. Thanks

 

With the transmission tag number, you can hit the Ford dealer parts department and get the part number for the most likely discontinued obsolete part
With that number, you can search Ebay
Not sure of any differences but the trucks should have a bigger output shaft in case you go looking at a junkyard
