Starting Issue Rotor & Cap or something else?
Hey Guys,
1989 F150 5.8L (351m) has been running fine lately. This morning (freezing rain & snow overnight) truck started and was not firing on all cylinders. Waited a few minutes, I turned off and attempted to restart. Truck cranks, fuel pump kicks in, no firing. Took off Cap & Rotor, they look a bit tired. I'll be picking up a new Rotor & Cap on my way back from work...could it be anything else?
Note: I've replaced the starter, alternator, battery, plugs within the last 6 months.
Thank you in advance for your time,
Tyler

Stop guessing & throwing part$ at it. Get a Haynes manual, a digital multimeter (DMM), & a fuel pressure gauge, and diagnose it.

If you want more-specific help, we need to see everything about the truck in your signature:

You should also put your location in your profile.
BTW
The 5.8L is the EFI version of the 351W; not the 351M.

Thanks for the Kind reply.
Have a Micrometer & Brand New Fuel Pump & Filter, fuel pressure is right on 45 PSI. --If time wasn't of the essence I would not guess & throw $$ at it, but unfortunately time is my greatest obstacle.
I'm planning to try new Coil, Plug Wires, & Check Vacuum lines tonight.
Signature Updated.

Your signature still isn't showing anything.
Guessing doesn't save time or money - it wastes both. But it's your truck, your time, & your money.

I'd certainly prefer to diagnose it. I was supposed to leave town for a funeral tonight. Just thought I'd try this forum for some magic answer that I possibly could have overlooked.
