Sift forks wont move
So i swapped out the forks...but, i cant get it in the trans now. Witg the plate alone, i cannot move the forks nor the shfter... nothing budges. When i was finally able to gdt the plat near the trans the forks dont appear to line up. After struggling with it and it "appears" to be aligned, nothing moves. Still csnt mpve the shifter. I think i took it apart with it in gear (my brain was off thqt day).
any help?

The ends of the shift rods should all be lined up when the shift forks are in neutral. The coupling sleeves on the gears wil be centered over their gear pairs when they are in neutral.
Try clamping the top cover/plate in a vise and putting the lever back, then trying to move it. There's a lot of resistance in the shifting mechanism itself. Don't force it though.

Cool. Which part was the problem? For future reference.

I put the plate in my vice and moved the shifter 1-2 and 3-4 in accordence with where my syncros were. It took me one or 2 xombos. But ojce it was in. It went right in. Ill do a detailed wreite up tomorrow on what i found. Because of pins popping out and bearings and whqt not.
again, thabks for the help! Runs great now
