Default M5R2 tranny behind 347 Stroker

Hey guys I'm swapping out my 300 i6 in my 88 f-150 for a 347 stroker just curious if the M5R2 will work behind it. Wanting to know before I buy the 28oz flywheel.

Thanks in advance guys!

Bolt pattern should be the same but that tranny is light duty. Can't really handle over 300/300 hp/ft-lbs. They never even put one behind a 351. FYI.

I'm considering a similar swap. I figured I'd do new catch pack and 347 stroker carbed swap. Other issue with mine is a 2.73 rear end so I was thinking 3.08 or 3.55 at the same time.

BLD is right, the M5r2 was not made for these torquey beasts.

might want to pick another unit,
