Default Gas tanks (replacement and pre=treat) ?

where would you suggest purchasing replacement gas tanks for a 96 F-150? Any value to pre-treat with POR 15 to prevent corrosion ?

JY. Anything you coat steel with is about as likely to hold water & corrosive agents against the steel as it is to keep them off it. The tank is galvanized at the factory to prevent corrosion & allow the surface to be rinsed clean; either by driving in rain, or by you with a garden hose. Have you EVER washed the important parts of your truck - the engine bay & underbody?

purchasing a 96 F-150 I am picking up next week. Moderate rust and will be treating with some type of undercoating. I have heard some folks have luck with treating inside of replacement tanks on the inside with POR15 to avoid the corrosive effect internally of the ethanol? -- didn't know if anyone had heard of it here.
