Default Front diff locker?

Hello, I have looked for this subject but have not found it, which to me is strange...

Anyway, I have a 1990 F150 4x4 5.8L with auto trans. It is a tough built truck, that is for sure. It has 4 shocks up front and 2 in the reer, with a rear sway bar. For a 1/2 ton, it is stout.

It has an 8.8 3.L08 rear end but from what I read the Dana 33 TTB up front has on "open" diff I do not plan to ever taking this thing "mudding", I am a dirt road, two track and moderately rough terrain kind of guy. But! that being said, if I was to get down a road off in the woods somewhere and come up on a "mud hole", I wouldn't want to get stuck, just because I didn't have a fron diff that locked.

So, my question is: should I just buy a diff locker for my dana 44 or should I replace both front and rear diff lockers?

Thanks in advance...

You have a 8.8 out back with limited slip? And an open D44 TTB up front. You can get by pretty much everything if you lock the 8.8, mine is locked in the back only and it goes through some fairly serious mud holes. What's more, if you do have a LS diff out back, that should be all you need .

Your other option is to wheel with buddies and get a long strap.
