I have a 1996 Eddie Bauer 4x4 short bed with the 5.0 and 4r70w. I want to change the fluid and filter but I can't get to the two bolts in the back as they are overlapped by the transmission cross member. Does anyone have a set up or technique they use to make this a little easier?

u joint adaptor for your socket might help.
