Driving in reverse...Uphill
So this will most likely sound like a dumb question to most of you.
However, I shall ask it anyways. I drive a 1989 f150 5spd manual. Where i park is on somewhat of a slant, and i always back into my parking space. When i'm backing in though, letting the clutch out all the way would throw me into the cinder-block wall behind me. On the other hand, when i don't, i just feel like i'm roasting the clutch because of the incline. Am I actually roasting the clutch? Or just paranoid. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I know nothing about your year truck but IMO it's just paranoia. You wear away clutch material every time you reengage from a stop or shift.
If you're having to rev the **** out of it just to back it up the hill then maybe. However if it's taking a lot your clutch might be ready to be replaced anyways. Get one that grabs harder.

Mmmm, that burnt clutch smell. Lol. You should be fine, unless it takes you 5 minutes to back into your spot while slipping your clutch.
