Default Core/Hurst Shifter

saw these were available again, and decided to snag one..

http://core-shifters.com/collections/shifters-for-f150

the company uses a mix of hurst parts and things manufactured by themselves to offer solutions to discontinued or unpopular applications.
the install was very easy with excellent fit. the core-made base appeared to be very high quality.
shifts are very positive with greatly reduced throw. more effort is required to shift and there is an increase in transmission noise. there is a bit of mechanism rattle in 4th gear.
the driving experience is much more enjoyable, and if desired, much quicker sifts can be made. the truck can still be shifted easy as a short throw shifter like this doesnt force you to bang gears quickly unless you really want to. my transmission worked well before, as it doesnt have synchro issues or anything, but these do get balky at times and crunch a bit. with this shifter theres no crunch or grinding ever, which leads me to believe sometimes the issue is the shifter not controlling the rails and forks as precise as it could.

someone that really enjoys using a manual transmission like myself will get a good deal of driving pleasure from this thing!

How easy/hard was the install.

I recently installed one that utilizes the factory stick - love it!
The difference is very nice!
Not a NEED item, but completely satisfies the WANT I had. . . .
