Alright, so I've got a 95 f150 4x4 with the 5.0 and 4r70w combo with 3.55 gears. She has 295,000 miles on her and I'm thinking about swapping the 5.0 out so I can get some more power under the hood to tow with especially since race season is around the corner. I was going to put the 5.8 MAF engine in with 3.73 gears but I don't know what all I'm going to need to put the 5.8 in. Also, is the 4r70w transmission worth keeping in with the 5.8 or should I need to look for a transmission also? Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
She needs some love but i can't complain.
